Refresh your knowledge and experience the Jolly Phonics methodology again in practice.

If you have already completed any of the Jolly Phonics or Jolly Grammar modules, you can revisit it through in-person refresh training.

The refresh module is designed for graduates who want to:

✔ revise the synthetic phonics methodology in practice
✔ go through the structure of individual modules again
✔ gain new ideas and inspiration for their classroom
✔ deepen their understanding of the Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar method
✔ regain confidence in teaching English

In-person training allows you to experience the methodology directly in practice – through lesson modelling, discussion, solving real classroom situations, and receiving professional feedback.

The programme follows the content of Modules 1–5, so you can choose exactly the module you have already completed and wish to revisit.

MODULE CONTENT

Module 1: Jolly Phonics Basic I
Revision of methodology fundamentals: systematic synthetic phonics, core teaching principles, first semester planning, classroom organisation, working with Jolly Phonics Pupil Book 1.

Module 2: Jolly Phonics Basic II

Second semester planning, introduction to first reading books, reflection on classroom experience, assessment of children’s progress.

Module 3: Jolly Phonics Basic III

Preparation for the second year of teaching, creative writing, vocabulary building, children’s book club, working with Jolly Phonics Pupil Book 2.

Module 4: Jolly Phonics Basic IV

Project-based learning, group work, extensive reading, introduction to grammar concepts, working with Jolly Phonics Pupil Book 3.

Module 5: Jolly Grammar I

Systematic introduction of grammar, linking vocabulary with grammar, cross-curricular integration, development of all language skills.
